I have an odd memory of this show: The Atlanta Braves and the Toronto Blue Jays were playing game 4 of the World Series that night, in Toronto. This being long before you could just check sports scores on your phone, we were anxious out the game while the bands played. Around 10:45 PM, a TV set with the game on appeared in the upper level. We weren’t close enough to see it clearly, but we could tell that the Jays very reliable closer, Tom Henke was pitching, because he had a very distinct windup. He was rarely used before the 9th inning, or in non save situations, so we knew the Jays were ahead in the 9th inning. We were pretty sure when the TV went off that the Jays had won (they had, 2-1).
