Cleveland OH: Empire Club – July 21, 1992

Defunct rock club that lasted a few years (1990-1992) in downtown Cleveland, across the stret from Jacobs Field. According to this article: “The club was owned and operated by John and Tony Ciulla who had managed the shows at Peabody’s DownUnder, one of the pre-eminent concert clubs of the 80s in the Flats. The club had a seating capacity anywhere from 350 to 800, depending on the act, and would often exceed that limit much to the ire of the local Fire Department. Unfortunately, the club’s ability to “pack them in” would prove their downfall….”

Bob managed to play there three times during its brief lifespan. The owner went on to book the summer shed Blossom Music Center for MCA Concerts. (Thanks to Chris Klasa.) 1

Club Babyhead was a nightclub and hard rock music venue in Providence, Rhode Island.
The venue was located at 73 Richmond Street…Previous to being dubbed Club Babyhead, the venue was known as Club Rocket, likely because of the amusement park rocket ship that hung in the club’s entryway. 1. Currently houses a club called EGO Providence (2026)

Max’s on Broadway in Fells Point was a staple of the Baltimore live music scene. The venue pivoted away from its regular live concert policy in 1993 1 and it is now known as Max’s Taphouse.
